Epox KP6-LA mb & Dia Viper II agp

Any chance anyone else is using this combo successfully? Oddly enough, a Dia Viper V770 Ultra works with the mb, and the Viper II works on an Asus cusl2 mb. But the Epox & Viper II boots to a blank screen. I've flashed the bios to the latest available on the Epox page (there was once a mem conflict with this mb and the Matrox G400, so I took a chance).
But that didn't help. It gives one long & three short post tones, but I can't find anything in the mb docs about post tones, but I assume it's the code for no video. And I've tried setting the 4x jumpers on the card as well, just for grins.

Any thoughts?
 
I don't know anything about that mobo, but I do have a Viper2. The Viper2 fits very tightly into AGP slots, so make sure to give it an extra hefty push when inserting it. I've had the same no video on an Epox mvp3g-m(SS7) and an Asus A7V(SocketA) mobo. Even though it seemed to click in properly, after another heavier push it clicked in again resulting in problem fixed.
