Looking at putting a new system together while salvaging a few parts I have in my current system.
In looking around at MBs I found the EP4-BEAR which has several features I like, such as RAID with UDMA133 and the 533FSB. Looking to put a 2.4Ghz in it, two 512Mg sticks, a pair of 80Gig 133 HDs in RAID config, a GeForce4 TI4600 128Mg vid card, and an SB Live sound card.
Info on the board can be found here:http://www.epox.com/html/english/products/motherboard/ep-4bear.htm
Not to start any flame wars, but my questions are:
How does Epox stand up as a brand name? Compare to say, Asus?
Anyone out there with this specific board? Comments?
Any specific or potential problems with the basic config I listed above?
Would I be better off with some other P4 board and a separate RAID controller?
What is a good sized power supply for all this? Would 330w be enough, or should I push higher?
First PC I've really built since my Athlon 750, so any other suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks,
Radclyffe
