It took Epox long enough to get this out but I think it has more to do with Nvidia cutting Uli chipset production. It's a damn good deal for $78 shipped!

Review of the Epox EP-9U1697-GLi from Anandtech
This board has a better layout and more overclock functions that the Asrock Uli 1697 board, which I was about to order one. The only different I found so far from the review board is chipset heatsink had been replaced by a decent fan-less unit with a lot of pins on the retail board. I Just got the board & waiting for my new Lian-Li case arrvid to test it out. I can't wait to throwaway my current Fry's bundled ECS Via junk mobo!
The board is a little basic but I already have a Audrgy for good sound & firewire plus a LSI SATA raid card. In Europe & Asia, Epox is going to relases a "J" model of this board with HD audio and gigabit ethernet.
