I just now bought myself components for a new computer. I got everything and assembled it and waited for the thermal paste to dry to turn it on. So i press the power button and it flickers on for a 1/2 second and then shuts off. It gives me the ffh post error code. if anyone can help me with the EP-9PAJ mobo i would appreciate. ive seen alot about the sli and the ultras but i dont know if they are the same.

set up is :

Thermaltake XaserV WinGo V7000C Blue Computer Case
AMD 3200+ stock hs/fan
Epox EP-9PAJ
Western Digital 160 Gig
Corsair XMS 4 x 512
NEC DVD burner
460w Coolmax ap-500 psu
Sapphire X800pro vid
usb keyboard & mouse
old but functional monitor
D-link wireless pci card

thanks in advance

take the mobo out of the case and set it on a book. reinstall the cpu, what thermal paste needs to dry???? and only put one stick of memory, the HD and 1 cd rom. see if it boots.

nevermind i put stuff back in the case and it kept workin. thanks so much! i had taken so much time workin on that thing and then it didn't work for no apparent reason. THANKS!!!

Put it back in. If it works, great. If not, it's probably shorting out on the case. Check all the standoffs and screws, etc. etc. Check the manual to see what the ffh code means.

EDIT: Psh, a minute late...
