My favorite boards from back then are tossup between Epox and DFI. I had more Epox boards than any other brand until they went under, but that one DFI LanParty board will be a hard board to forget, with the exclusive for it's time fan control software. But it's hard to forget Epox and the BIOS updates that gave notable performance increases and better overclocking after a single flash.
 
Abit, DFI and Epox and maybe Asus were the ones to go later on the Socket A life, apart from Asus they are all long gone...
