Epox board, Why does it do this?

Hey can anyone tell me why my Epox MVP3C2 board does this. It only happens on occasion, I turn it on, screen says verifying dma pool.. then the screen goes black before loading win98. I turn it off then on a couple of times and it works perfect? Its more of a nag than anything.
