i'm planning to buy this board but I don't see much discussions about this one. Its price is around $85 @ newegg. So for those who owns or has any idea about this board, please share your thoughts and experience to us. It would really be a big help. Thanks. =)

Its the same exact board man. They just did some layout fixes and took away firewire for whatever reason(to lower the price I guess?). Id definitely get it if you dont need firewire. I have the 9npa+ultra myself. I couldnt be happier. Rock stable overclocked. No problems.

Another difference is that the bundle doesn't include round cables or any other goodies. Just the basics.

Oh really didnt know that. Thats lame lol. Might as well buy the 9npa+ultra and spend the whole $10-$15 more.

It's not that big a deal. You just don't get a case badge and the cables are your typical IDE ribbon cables. The SATA power and data cables are nice, though. Overall it's a decent package. If you're upgrading, you might already have round cables, or, like me, not need them anymore because of a switch to SATA.

Thats true, I never used mine either because I also use SATA. Im just saying. The lack of firewire and lack of cables, might as well spend the extra whole $10-$15 more ya know? :p I guess if the layout fixes helped that could be a reason.

Sorry to revive an old post, but I am looking into this board too (eventually) Is another difference that the 9npa doesn't support dual core? or does it?

Checked the Epox site and all 939 mb support dual core. At Newegg X2 was not listed as supported by the 9npa
