My system is unstable with 1.5 gigs of RAM. It has been rebooting randomly. I have my timings set conservatively (2.5-3-3-8, 2T). I have an Athlon x2 3800+ that is not overclocked. If I overclock it even slightly, the system will not boot into windows at all. My system worked perfectly with just the Kingston HyperX memory. I ran memtest on the Corsair stick and nothing came up. Does anyone know what's going on?

My system is:

Athlon x2 3800+ /w Tuniq Tower Cooler
1.5gb ram (512x3)
Epox 9NPA+ Ultra
EVGA Geforce 7900GT
Antec P150 Case
Antec NeoPower 430w

dual channel memory controller don't like to run with 3 sticks. it should be either 1, 2 or 4. Your board's manual should clearly state that.

Okay so now my setup has 4x512; 2 corsairs and 2 kingston hyperx's. After playing around with my settings I was able to get my system to post with my processor overclocked to 2550mhz (10x255 fsb) and with the ram running at PC200 lol. So my ram is running at 127fsb with 3-4-4-8 2t timings. I know my memory running at such crappy speeds will impact my gaming performance, but by how much? I want 2 gigs in my system because games like stalker need more than a gig of ram to run nicely :( Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get my system stable with all 4 dimms occupied? I am running an Epox 9NPA+ BTW.
