EPOX 9npa Turning Off

Hi all,

I just built my second system (went dell for a few years) and have a AMD 3700 with the epox 9npa nforce 4 motherboard. So far during use, the system has simply powered down and restarted.

When it comes back up, the CPU temp is at 95F. I read something about an automatic shutdown if it exceeded 110... but is there anything else that may be causing my computer to restart?

what power supply are you using? is it a decent brand, rated at 450W or above & atx2 compliant with 24 pin adapter? if not, it may be your problem.

also could be a memory issue. make sure you have disabled automatic restart in your system properties - its in system properties -> startup & recovery settings -> system failure. This will let you see if its a bsod rather than restart the computer. if this happens its likely to be bad memory, a too high memory overclock, or too aggressive memory timings.
