well....it just won't boot into windows...i tried a different hdd from my other computer....it gets the same problem.....help?!!!!!!!

it just freezes right before i get the window xp screen with the loading bars

i know my ram's working cause i tried it in a different system
i know my pci graphics card's working because i tried it in a different system too

 
If you're sure its not the ram or harddrive, then I'm assuming oen of your parts is causing a conflict, so when windows loads up your drivers it .... well ... can't boot into windows.
Try getting into safe mode, that'll load minimal drivers. Unplug anything in your PCI slots (ex: your sound card) - and see if it works after that.

now it's when the window xp goin bsod right when i get the window xp screen with the loading bars

it says something's wrong with my video adapter....
but i'm sure that that's not it since i tried my friend's working video card
and i got the same result

i tried flashing the bio to the latest one but with the same result
i'm stumped
 
new system...i've tested all parts in another system....everything works perfectly well
i tried putting in another cpu/vga card/psu into this mb...but didn't work either
 
The only thing I can think of is to do the "clear cmos" jumper and give it another try. It sounds like you've covered everything else --- assuming the power supplies you are using are giving the boad and video enough juice.

How many times have you reloaded Windows?
 
i tried everything...i made sure the psu works by testing it on another system
i even tried clearing cmos...no help
 
Hi all, first here is some copy and paste:

I had some serious problems with it. First when I upgraded my motherboard BIOS I always encoutnered some serious crashes, even when I ran everything on stock settings. This just happend with the new BIOSes, had no probs with the release BIOS.

Also had problems with the SATA chips both with nvidia and SI. For some reason I couldnt install XP when I had my RAId 0 setup on the nvidia SATA controllers. With SI had no such a problem, but one time the SI chip couldnt find one of my disk at boot up. First I thought that one of my disk diead but when I plugged the SATA cable out then back in then everything was fine again. Also I am not very satisfied with the SI SATA performance. I used to have an Abit IC7 with Intel onboard SATA, also had a RAID 0 with the same disks and managed to get some much better performance with that board then Epox. Here some Hdtach pictures of the 2 setup.

Sofar I am not very pleased with the overall peformance.

Venice 3500+
Epox 9Npa+ SLI
1Gig Geil ONE TCCD
MSI 7800GTX
600W Enermax PSU


My another borblem is with my BIOS. As I mentioned above had some serious blue deaths when I upgraded the mobo's BIOS, havent tried the latest release. Anyone had similar problems?

I'm having the exact same problem... seems like he re-installed XP to solve it. I have an Ultra board, not an SLI, but I'm wondering if re-installing XP is really a fix more than just a way to start over
