Messing around with sound setup on my new motherboard, and I can't get any sound out of the spdif output on my motherboard. I can enable a checkbox in the sound mixer to show it in the mixer, but the volume and balance is greyed out, like I need a codec or drivers or such. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find an answer.
I'd assume it's the same for all motherboards... any tips? Nothing in my manual that explains spdif.
