I recently wrote to epox support (in australia this goes to Taiwan) asking
what RAM to get for this board - seeing as I'm about to order it:

I would like to order this board. I want to use 4GB RAM. DO you have
reccommended sticks (brand and model) that work at DDR400?
Thanks
Gethin

Here is the reply. Can anyone translate??!!

Dear Sir:

EP-9NDA3+ specifications can support DDR400 x 4 dimm => 4GB.
But system switch on device can spontaneously occupancy a part memory
space. Therefore your use memory size not enough to 4GB.(everyone factory
owner same)

Thank you for your interest in EPoX products and contacting our support
department. If you reply ensure to include all previous E-mail text. It will
prevent unnecessary delays and guarantee the fastest possible response.

Besides avoiding brand/model part of your query the part about addressing by the mobo of 4GBs of dimm is just a ymmv as they are saying
But system switch on device can spontaneously occupancy a part memory
space. Therefore your use memory size not enough to 4GB.
that having 4 dimm slots and having 4GBs of dimm in said slots is (as I said and apparently they do as well albeit badly constructed ) ymmv. gl

It looks like whoever answered the question simply ran your query through one of those online language translators, which usually jumbles up the text like this. I'd send the question to Epox's tech support in either the US or UK to see if you can get a better answer there.

Or you can probably just post this question in the Epox forum over at athlonmb.com. I know of the Epox reps frequent that forum for support questions every now and then.

He's trying to tell you:
The board doesn't support 4 double sided dimms. 3 Yes 4 NO

You'll be very hard pressed to find 1gb dimms that are single sided. So no 4GB support You could find 2gb dimms somewhere however and that would probably work
