i have this board with the amd xpm 2600, and buffalo tech pc3500 ddr ram

using a 120gb sata hd

i can't get this board to overclock anything.

i have used a 2500 barton, a 2400+ xpm and now a 2600+ xpm

i took the jumper for the fsb off of the motherboard like people suggested; all it does is specifies if the cpu is a 133 or 166 fsb.

i have tried volts up to 1.85 and it still won't budge. the ram is on very loose timings like 11-3-3-3

i have also tried to up the ram volt but at no avail.

i have an slk800 with a smart fan II on theh proc, still no avail

the power supply is a ultra x connect 500W psu, so my rails are pretty good.

any suggestions from you guys here??? tried multiple combo of mults and fsb

temps are good, around 40 something C under load

do not know which bios revision, the one it came with i guess

I didn't know you were supposed to take the jumper off the board.
*Shrug*
Sounds like the board is a lemon of an overclocker, then, doesn't it?

I had the same board. It's only good for 333 fsb or 166 fsb. That means you have to get a board rated for 400 fsb or 200 fsb. I upgraded to the 50 usd epox 8rda3I rated at 200 fsb or 400 fsb. I am oc'ing my 2500+ to 3200+ speeds at 200 fsb x 11 = 2.2Ghz air cooling, 42C idle, 48C load.

btw: in the epox bios you have to set the setting to expert, and that will open up all fsb and multipliers for oc'ing.

The 8RDA3+ should be good for DDR400. It's the regular 8RDA+ that wasn't always capable of hitting DDR400.

yeah mine is rated for 400 ddr...i have the settings on expert for everything and like i said loosen the timings

with more tweaks i was able to get the mult to 12.5 and fsb at 180, any more and i can't boot up

mult 13 doesn't seem to work with any voltage...do xpm only let u use 12.5 and below???

do the newer bios version result in any better overclock??? seriously thinking about flashing bios
