Was about to purchase one of these, did a search here and found posts about problems. Are these trouble?

Like any techie's equipment, they take some tweaking. But I'm not looking to replace mine anytime soon.

there are problems with any and all boards. 8rda+ is a good board

I build 9 8rda+ mobos with no problems, most of the problems you will see are memory related, get Buffalo or TwinMOS 2X-256MB PC3200 winbond chips and you will be very happy with the 8rda+.
