I downloaded the bios .exe file for my motherboard, unzipped the file onto a floppy disk, rebooted, went into the bios to load the optimal defaults, rebooted again, flashed the bios with the motherboard's awdflash utility (i pressed alt+f2 at POST screen), the computer rebooted itself when the flash completed successfully, then the computer hung at the POST screen. I rebooted the computer and it hung again at the POST screen. The POST codes I get are 51 and 53. Sometimes the POST screen will show only the cpu info before hanging, and sometimes it will show the HD info as well, but that is as far as it goes. It will not boot into the OS.
I'm wondering if the board is dead or if it can be fixed with a bios chip replacement.
