According to epox's website
http://www.epox.nl/english/products/motherboard/8rda%2B.htm
Supports 266/333 FSB
Dual Channel DDR400 memory support for increased performance (backward compatible)

I am pretty sure I have DDR 333 in there now, and want to upgrade to 1 GB DDR 333 but am I better trying to use the Dual Channel DDR400 somehow? am I losing perfomance by using the DDR 333 chips?

edited because i am bad at the linking

I had an 8rda, it only goes to PC2700 (DDR333), but there is no reason not to get PC3200. It would aid in overclocking and also, if and when you upgrade that PC3200 may still be usable.

Depends if you have a 200 FSB Athlon XP processor or not. If so then yes, it would make sense to use DDR400 to keep FSB and DDR memory in sync for better performance. But I suspect you probably have a 133 or 166 FSB processor, so DDR400 would be overkill unless you plan on overclocking.
