Ok, I have this friend who just built a new computer with an Epox 8RDA. We have tried switching the ram, PS, and all, but this problem still arises. What happens is randomly, any given time, full load on cpu, or cpu just idle, the computer just shuts off, no warnign what-so-ever, and it starts to beep reapeatedly, forEVER, unless you unplug the computer totally. It is not a heat issue, as in the bios, afte the computer has been on for a while, still says the processor is only at 107(F)....has anyone heard of this before? :(

I have been having trouble using the EPOX 8rga+ boards in dual channel memory mode, try useing just one stick of ram in the computer (or 2 sticks on one memory bus) and see if it still resets randomly. PLease tell me if this helps, I am getting quite peeved with EPOX's dual-channel memory controller.

I had this problem, apparently because I had 3 fans plugged into the same power plug. Removed one of the fans, and the problem no longer occurs.

Just for kicks, can you double-check your heatsink installation against the photos in my guide (see signature)?

(it happens to feature my dead 8RDA+, btw ;))

What kind(s) of memory have you tried? My Kingston ValueRAM caused odd reboots and BSODs, though the Corsair XMS that I have now works very well. The Epox 8RDA(+) boards are very picky about RAM, in my experience.
