I just put together a new system, an d it has major problems. When I hit the power button, all of the fans come on, the lcd on the mother board first reads c1, and then switches to c3, and then repeatedly beeps. On my monitor it just says "no signal" I have no idea what the problem could be. Here are my specs, if that will help

athlon 2100 +
epox 8rda+
ge force 4200
256mb crucial pc2700 ddr ram

thanks

What brand and model of power supply do you have?

Try starting with a couple easy things as troubleshooting steps:
  • Unplug all drives from data and power cables
  • Unplug all fans from the motherboard (power your CPU fan directly from the power supply)
  • Unplug any USB wires that might be plugged into the motherboard's 9-pin USB header depicted on page 3-11 of the manual
  • Push down hard on the AGP card to ensure that it's down past the second row of contacts in the AGP slot.
If that doesn't help, try taking the motherboard out of the case, set it up with just the RAM, video card and CPU/heatsink, connect it to the power supply and make momentary contact between the power-switch pins with a screwdriver tip to signal it to turn on. Good luck. :)

Just out of curiosity, do I need the ram to initially start up. The error c1 and c3 means memory error, so I tried starting without it and it did the same thing.
