Epox 8RDA+ line out: hissing sound?

I just noticed this recently (probably because it has just been happening recently). When I play music loudly from my computer (be it going through headphones or through RCAs from a Y splitter to my receiver), I hear a hissing sound behind the music. White noise, I think they call this?

Anyway, is there any way to stop it? I know the 8RDA+ has SPDIF connectors on it, but the board didn't ship with anything to take advantage of those. It's not a huge deal but it really irks me when I can just barely hear the static sound.

I have the same board.

The only time I hear white noise is if I turn up the microphone gain or line In gain all the way up. And even then the room has to be quiet and the volume has to be all the way up to hear it, and even then it's barely noticable.

I'm guessing the problem is either you are picking up off the line in or mic inputs, or the problem is after the line out.

Have you tried muting the mic in/line in or turning the gain on those down?

What's wrong with onboard (nVidia Soundstorm) audio? Do try muting the Line-In in the volume control, as element® suggested. My NF7-S, with a TV tuner hooked to the Line-In, produces bursts of static when the TV app isn't running. Muting the Line-In cures this.
Other than that, the MCP-T audio solution is the best sounding "soundcard" I've ever used.
