Epox 8RDA+ fireware pin layouts for chaintec case

Bought a new chieftec case and 8RDA+ motherboard and I would like to connect the front firewire and USB connectors to the motherboard. The chieftech case has no manual, but the leads are labeled. The Epox manual does not have a pin layout for the firewire connector assuming that people will just use the rear bracket to connect to the board.

I need to find this info out

The funny thing is the front USB connector is the exact opposite. The Eopx manual has a pin layout, but the cheiftec bales are not labeled.

Anyone have info?

The plugs should be labeled for both.

Does anybody know if the USB wire colors are standard amoung all manufacturers? The header from the front panel doesn't exactly match the header on the UDB bracket. I can rewire them if nessessary, but I wonder if I can just go color to color?

My boards usb bracket plug was the same colorwise as the front usb. Strange though that nothing was on the plugs. Does a chieftec manual say what color is what?

Warning, don't plug anything into pin #10 of the USB3 header on the motherboard. If I recall correctly, the pinout is shown on page 3-11 of the manual. Work carefully and you'll be ok 🙂 (and note that the plugs are numbered into two groups, don't mix 1's with 2's :Q). I wouldn't be trying to plug the FW into the mobo, the pins are rather short and the plugs don't grip them very well.
