Epox 8RDA+, can't get on-board audio to work.

I got my 8RDA+ about a week ago and I have been tweaking and torture testing for most of the time, but last night I tried to fire up a game and I realized that I was getting no sound. I checked the device manager for sign of conflicts, but it all seemed to be installed correctly. I even used the nForce control panel to configure my speakers correctly.

I'm on Windows XP Pro (no sp1) and I have all the latest drivers and BIOS.

Anyone that can help?

Open the nForce control panel, go to the Speakers tab, and raise the volume on your speakers from the 0 setting.

I don't have the PC here in front of me at work, but I'm pretty sure all of the volumes are at maximum (except the "video" volume in the Main tab)

But I'll check on that when I get in.

Anything else anyone can suggest?

I can just suggest the basics right now - recheck for any jumper configs; I remember something about a front-panel connector on the board, and if you connect a certain jumper, the rear audio ports will be disabled.
Also, make sure you're plugging the speakers into the green 3.5mm audio jack.

Hi ,

I had the same problem with my 8RDA+ , i had to change the yellow audio jumpers just in between PCI 1 & 2.

That fixed my problem.
