i just bought an Epox 8KTA3 motherboard, the thing wont boot, I have a 1Ghz processor I threw some arctic silver on there, some of which spilled on the dots right next to the core, but i cleaned up with alcohol although residue remained, I dont know if that shorted it out or not, can someone help me, I hooked up all my drives and installed ram, it posts ok, but no boot, and i cant get into the bios, is crucial cas 3 pc133 ram athlon compatible?

Sorry if im late to reply, i just signed up to this great board the other day, but my setup did the same thing at first. i have KTA3 w/ Tbird 850 and when i tried to boot the screen stayed black, i got mad and frustrated and finally hit the Reset button a bunch of times and for some reason it started booting! Give it a shot! hehe

I am having the same problem. No beeps, my monitor led blinks on and off and on (no video signal). I even hit reset a bunch to try Passat's trick but no go here.

Any ideas????

It may worth clearing the CMOS via the jumper JP1 (located to the left of the 2 LEDs). Also check to make sure your 100/133FSB jumper (JP5, located right above the FDD port) is set to 100. You can of course change the 133FSB jumper later, but many people must lower the multiplier in the BIOS first in order to run at the higher FSB.

Good luck!
