Has anyone had a problem getting Windows 2000 Pro to install on an 8KTA3? Windows 98 installed fine, but 2000 runs through the setup and then hangs at the point where it says Windows 2000 is now starting. I've tried telling it to use the Standard PC HAL, tried flashing the BIOS, disabling the sound card etc. It's got an Athlon 850, 256Mb, basic 4mb Diamond PCI VGA right now, no NIC or any other cards. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bobby

Never mind, I see that my video card isn't on the HCL. I'll try it with a compatible card.

A quick note, you must have your BIOS set to the type of system you want Win2K to be set up for. If you set for standard PC and install 2K and then want to go to an ACPI system, it will require a complete clean reinstall of 2K. Just thought I would warn you.
