Okay, I finally got a new cpu to run in my machine. My duron got fried by an act of God (long story, don't ask), and I had to get a replacement.
Well, put in the tbird, and everything came up fine. I was flashing my bios to the 4-17 version, and it got about halfway, and just stopped. I left it sitting like that for about 5 hrs, when I cam back to it, the flashing was still at the same spot.
So, I went ahead and turned off the machine (yes, I know, probably a stupid idea), to go ahead and reflash my bios. Well, since then, when I turn on the machine, the computer fails to see the keyboard, and the led posts, 05 (no kb), then 0D, then 41. It sits at 41, and on the screen it says BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR. INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND HIT ENTER
That's as far as it goes. Is there anything I can do, or am I goign to have to send the bios chip back to my reseller to re-burn the bios onto it?
