Hi Dingdong....

I've noticed this jumper on all 8kta boards(+,2, and the regular 8kta's) and everytime I set it to 133 I can't boot, even with corsair pc133 cas2 memory. Just won't boot, black screen, hell if I know.
I just leave it at 100, atleast for the time being since I'm so busy at work that I don't have time to figure it out. But if you ever find out drop a line and let us know.

Take care and happy new year.

It's for unofficial 133fsb cpu.
If you set it to 133, and put in a 100fsb duron or athlon, the system of course won't boot.

Most KT133 boards offer the option to raise the FSB quite high, up to 133 or in some cases even 166 Mhz. However, th KT133 chipset does not actually work properly with a FSB of higher then about 110 Mhz - sometimes more, sometimes less - and never with 133 Mhz.

This limitation is due to the chipset and not because of the CPU! Tests with the new chipset, which supports a FSB of 133 Mhz show that most of the current CPUs made for a FSB of 100 Mhz work fine with a FSB of 133 Mhz. Of course by doing so, they're overclocked by 33%.

So, no, the current boards with the standard VIA KT133 chipset do not support the upcoming FSB133 CPUs and the option to raise the FSB to 133 Mhz is not really an option.

The manual says so - set to 133 for future 133 fsb cpu,
but that could be fake, if it'll work, no need to make KT133A chipset.
