I am having problems with booting up with my 3.5" floppy drive (Disk I/O error). I am using Windows ME and can access the foppy in windows. Check drive in another computer and it will boot up.

Any chance you messed up your boot disk by connecting the floppy cable flipped ?? If the cable was ever flipped and you tried to boot, the floppy is usually toast. Try making a new boot disk. Also check that it is recognized correctly in the BIOS as 1.44.
