i dont know what all the negativity is about..

i am running:

athlon xp 1700
enermax 350w psu
512mb pc2100 crucial ddr ram
40gb ibm hd
geforce2 32mb
lite on 16x dvd
lite on 12x10x32 cd-rw
about 5 case fans
pal8046 w/ys-tech 48.5cfm

running win2k pro.. no probs WHATSOEVER!
i am running at 133fsb for now.. no reboot issues.. no problems at all. works fantastic.

i have the L bios chip, 10/17/01 date.. works like a dream

i dont have plans to overclock, i just want a fast stable board. xp1700 is fast enough as it is..

Mine was perfect out of the box as well. No compatibility issues.

L bios chip. Original 10/5 bios.

Have reboot issue over 155 FSB, but all it means is I have to hit the reset button on soft reset. Power on and off work 100%.

Look at my sig: 166 FSB with 2.8V DDR for 100% stability *CONFIRMED* (sorry, couldn't resist 🙂 )
I can hit 180+ FSB with 3.2V DDR, but I like safety margins.

This is one excellent motherboard, for me anyway.

I had a few problems with my "K" bios chip, but I was finally able to upgrade the bios to 11/2. Turns out that having USB mouse support enabled in the bios was causing my system to freeze just before the drives spin up, disabled that and everything is so great now I can't stand it. Took me an hour of bios settings and reboots to pinpoint that issue, but it was worth it. I LOVE THIS BOARD! No reboot probs anymore and everything is super stable.

For those of you running the FSB @ 166, does this mean the memory is also running at 166? Or is the memory running at just 133 while the memory is at 166.

Great Board. Am messing with it right now. Have an XP1800+

I thought it was DOA when it wouldn't boot ,but it turns out that my RADEON 64MB Radeon VIVO has a little transistor that seems to have exploded.

BOOHO0!

<< i dont know what all the negativity is about..

You dont know what all the negativity is about because you happened to get a board that worked. What do you think, that all of the people who have mentioned problems with the board, are making up stories just to start a crap thread?

I bet if you got a bad board like so many others did, you would be squealing like a stuck pig.........right?..........RIGHT!

Thanks for sharing your very good experience though. Continued good luck.

spotdancer,
i posted this because i was worried when i was building my system

people say enermax 350w and 8kha+ dont mix. they do.
people say their 8kha+'s dont boot and all this other stuff.
everyone is busy posting about their problems.. i thought i'd post a success story
i was scared sh1tless when i had everything here except my heatsink and was reading all this negativity about the board
