Hi everyone,
I recently got an Epox EP-8kha motherboard with a 1.4 Ghz. Atlon proxessor and I have filled the 3 memory banks with 256 MB ram making it 786 mb of ram. I use Win 2000 professional and for some reason whenever I do any datatransfer, the system restarts automatically. I first though it could be becuase of faulty ram but I have tried changing the ram and it give the same problem.
First of all, I need to know how to stop the system from restart. I unchecked the automatic system reboot option in startup and recovery so that the system doesn't restart when there is an error but still it restarts. Is there any other option to stop this automatic restarting of the system.
I think the problem may lie in the motherboard. I'm not sure. I have a 40GB WB 7200rpm HDD. Could it be becuase of the HDD??
Would appreciate some help...want to get rid of the problem as soon as possible........it's quiet irritating......
