I have a

340 Watt Enlight
Epox 8kha+
1700+ XP
256 Crucial DDR 2.5
Maxtor 40 gig 7200 rpm
32 mb Visiontek
Win 2k Pro

My first Epox gave me several blue screens including Bad Pool Caller, Inaccesible Boot Device, and multiple other blue screens.
I rma'd the board to Newegg. My new board arrived and I did a clean install of Win2k and Win 2k said the sound could not start. It even detected Raid/SCSI and wanted me to install drivers. No SCSI or Raid on 8kha+. I also get more blue screens. Any suggestions?

Sorry to ask the obvious but did you change the JCK1 jumper from the default 1-2(100MHz) to the required 2-3 posiition? Also, what PCI cards are you using?

Your not going to ask an easy question are you? 😉Well.......are you using SP2? Have you tried a different stick of ram? Here's some possible explainations for the "bad pool caller" error LinkHere is a possible explaination for the inaccesible boot device and SCSI/RAID detection when not present Link #1Link #2Link #3 It's possible that your boot record on your HDD is corrupted/damaged so this is as good a place as any to start. If all else fails try flashing the bios, changing PSU(if possible), and try different O.S.(if possible). Good luck as you've got a real tricky problem no doubt!

Could be a few things ,try minimal install of hardware , I don`t think it`s your board.

I would start with a different harddrive.

Can you get the board stable from a bootdisk?

I had BSOD ,crashes while back , even from just the bootdisk it was unstable,(was faulty cpu for me).

You need to start ruling out hardware one at a time.
