I'm building a digital editing station and the extra RAID is really attractive for such a system but I've had problems with an EPOX board in the past (8k5a2+ and Hardware malfunction 2400+ Tbred) and EPOX told me basically "oh well" on a CPU that is said to be supported.
Is the 8k9a3+ worth looking at or should I move on? It will have all three memory slots filled which is something that crashed the 8k5a2+. It will have a 1700+ running at 166fsb. and it will have a VERY powerful threwput Matrox RT.X100 pci card.
