Just put my new ayjha 1.4 in last nite and noticed its a lot hotter than my old duron, about 45c to 50c so far under load with system temp indicated at 30c.

I bought a new GW WBK68 and used AS on the cpu. Temps went up to about 54c under load so I swapped out the fan on the hs for an 80mm sunon for more airflow. I'm running it off the ps though so no monitoring. Am I in the normal range for this mb/cpu combo?

And any problems you can see?

I'm not big into the overclocking anymore but did boot it at 11x140 for a few minutes.

I had a 1.2 running at 48-54c and now have my 1.4@1.5 at 44-50c with ambient temp being 30c. As long as your not crashing you should be fine. However most like to see temps go no higher than 50c. Did you apply a VERY thin layer of as? I was worried that my 1.4 would run much hotter than my 1.2 but I applied an ultra thin layer of as that it seems to have done the trick.

Thats fine, with a 1.2Ghz@1.48 at 2.04 Vcore, under load Im at about 42-44C with 23C ambient. But I also have a Swiftech 462 so I should be a bit lower.

Yes, its a very thin layer as I've gained some experience with AS over the last few years. With amd's, more force generally on the hs thus if you apply too much it squeezes out and can cause problems on the exposed parts of the die.

I also put an Enermax 350w fan control with the bottom sucking fan too but I really like the quietness of that WBK68 but it doesn't push enough air. The 80mm pushes a lot more and down the sides of the hs as well where it seems to be hottest but it is noisier.
