Today I was to buy the MOBO Epox 8K7A+. But the Mobo had chipset AMD
760 and not 761 as in the site of the Epox it says. It is right?

Maybe, tomorrow, i go to buy my overclocker dreams.

Thank you if can help me.

760 is the name of the AMD chipset which includes a 761 Northbridge and a 766 southbridge. All 760 mobos that I know of include only the AMD northbridge along with a VIA southbridge.

Then, is correct the description of chipset AMD 760?
Also, the Asus A7M 266, but were described as AMD 761. They are chipsets different, not?

The 760 chipset is a combination of the 761 north bridge and 766 south bridge.

Every "760 chipset" motherboard, except for Tyan Tiger K7, consists of the AMD 761 North Brdige and Via 686B South Bridge.

So, due to all the confusion, the numbers "760" and "761" are used interchangeably - they mean the _same_ thing.
