yeah, onboard sound.

Thanks. I'm Dl'ing now and I'm gonna see what happens.

On a different note, my ATI Radeon installation says that I lack DMA access to my HD and DVD and CD.

What is DMA?

So, heffe734, sounds like you're familiar with this issue.

can I just install the driver from the Via CD (that came with the mobo) or CD-R of the DL'd driver?

The PC in question doesn't have an internet connection.

Thanks guys. The DL'd driver from the site turns out to be the same as the one on the CD that came with the mobo. I installed that one and the sound works perfectly.
