Epox 8k7a - usb port problems

I recently flashed the bios of my wife's comp - epox 8k7a, t-bred 2000, 2 x 256 crucial pc2100, maxtor 20 gig hdd, and win98. At first, the usb mouse wouldn't work when the pc booted up. I eventually found the ps2 adapter and am now using the mouse. Unfortunately, the ups only has a usb connector. Now, when I check the device manager there is no standard enhanced pci to usb host controller. This must be the problem. Luck has it that I can't find the cd that came with the motherboard and I can't find any usb drivers on the epox website. I would gratefull if someone knows where I can find them. Thank you in advance.

Have you checked in the bios to make sure the USB ports are turned on? Have you tried resetting the cmos?

After flashing the BIOS please load the BIOS optimized defaults. Save and exit. Sounds like the USB was just disabled in the BIOS. This should re-enable it and have Windows redetect its presence.
