EPox 8K7A questions

Hi,
I've scoured the forum for info on the following and found conflicting, if not contradictory, information. Could someone who is certain please fill me in?

I am planning to build my 1.4Ghz Athlon system (not oc-ing) using the EPox 8K7A mb with 256MB PC2100 DDR RAM. I will be installing Win2K Pro (and subsequently installing SP2)

1. Do I need to download the VIA 4-in-1 and/or AMD AGP drivers? Any other drivers?
2. Is anyone aware if the 8K7A can support Athlon XP, perhaps after a BIOS upgrade?

thanks in advance,
sidat

PS. thanks to all those who posted info about other issues regarding this board, I have noted them and hopefully my assembly will be less troublesome 🙂

1. you don't need the 4 in 1's if you use Win2k. You do need the AMD AGP Miniport
2. yes, it supports XP processors, update to the latest 1824 bios. this can be found on epox website

thanks for the info rickn.
now I just have to wait for AMD to get their site back up! 🙁
