I just installed my EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard and I have the following problems.
1. When I perform a cold boot I receive the error message:
"The System is in Over Clock Fail."
"Please setup CPU Host Clock in Freq/Voltage Control Setup."
I set the Frequency/Voltage Control to the following.
Autodetect - Disable
Speed Spectrum - Enabled
CPU Clock - 133
I tried many different variations and I still receive the same error message.
On a System Restart or a Warm Boot I do not receive this error message.
2. I have some Hardware incompatibilities with the Diamond Viper II AGP Graphics Card.
Are there Hardware issues that anyone knows of between the EPOX 9K7A+ Motherboard and the Diamond Viper II AGP Graphics Card?
Everytime time that I reload the Diamond Viper II Drives, it hangs the Computer.
3. Is my Sound Blaster Live PCI Sound Card a cause of some concerns?
I have read that this Sound Card has caused some problems with some of these EPOX Motherboards.
4. My Windows ME System seems to run alot slower now, and certain programs either do not open or close properly.
I did reinstall Windows ME ontop of itself.
I will be installing Windows 2000 Professional on a new 80 Gigabyte WDC IDE Disk Drive in a few days.
5. Are there any other EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard problems that I should be aware of?
6. I did download and installed the latest EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard BIOS Update from the EPOX Web Site.
I have the following Computer System Components.
EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard.
AMD Athlon 1.4 GHZ CPU.
PC Power & Cooling Mid-Tower Computer Case.
