System is going CRAZy. It reboots on its own, goes into safe mode and reboots before it get up and finally sits with a black screen and does nothing.

I went out to the epox website and downloaded the latest bios and it stabalized some. Now it only want to reboot itself.

I put another hdd on it to do a ghost, but ended up getting a read error twice at about the same spot on the disk and it rebooted itself while in ghost!!

I am going to hook up another hdd at lunch and disconnect all drives and cards except a cd-rom, hdd and video card to reload windows!!!

Does it sound like the mobo is bad???

Thanks

Epox mainboards were allways problematic in memory quality, check your memory settings, also, if you're using Win98SE, search the "Green Line Issue" in Epox FAQ. It can be related to proccessor also, check if it work after sertain temp. an go crazy abobe 40C, for example, a good program for testing is Sisoft Sandra 2000 CPU benchmark, I mean, the machinne must be able to complete the bench without rebooting or hang. I had a DURON 600 that hang after 40C.
