Epox 8k7A + mitsumi CR8402TE. HELP PLEASE

I can't burn CD-RW's, the same thing happened with my FIC SD11 but it was fine on my dads ABIT BH6. I am using Veritas Mycd pro but I have tried CDrwin and Adaptec easy CD creator. I really need some help. the firmware upgrade for the cd-rw won't exectute in Win2k, it keeps giving me errors, so I can't try that either
