have you guys noticed that the IDE/floppy cables that come with this board are pure crap?
first try detecting my 75gxp 30gig came up with 7gig drive that was unreadable...fiddled with the cable and 5 boots in a row no primary ide drive...then one reboot later (without touching anything) 30gig drive.
floppy cable has yet to work with a known good floppy drive (verified in another computer, moved to 8k7a and error 40.
after 5hrs messing with this 8k7a im thus far completely unimpressed...formatting drive now tho...
hopefully my OS will install or i might be visiting the forsale/trade forum and dumping this pos for a huge loss (right now if i had a replacement id sell this crap for $5)
who knows...but this thing has driven me to drink heavily tonight thus far (just in this past hour tho, ive been installing everything completely sober 🙂
