1.2 GHz tbird

i was running my system stable for 4 weeks at 141x10 but yesterday i decided to see if i could go higher
so 1st i raised the multiplier to 11 and it booted but ultimately unstable then i lowered it to 9.5x150 and same results then 9x150 and did not fair any better i guess 141x10 is my sweet spot but anyways

one of the times i was one like 9.5x153 er something like that and noticed my memory timings were way of something weird like 8 6 3 2 1 1 2 1 and i was very surprised since i run at 8862222 but after that i could not get the system to post even at the old configuration of 10x141= 1410 mhz

my ram voltage was at max before and cpu was 1.97 but now it will only even post/boot up like 1 out of 7 times and i have to usually clear cmos/set FSB to 100/run at default multiplier and any combination of the 3 thingsbut even that does not guarantee a post
when i look at the error code i either get 1C, 07, or FF but even when it does go to FF it does not post it goes straight to FF instead of the normal boot sequence i dont recall what that is though it is something like 1A->02->27->FF or somethin like that anyway this really sucks i dont think it is the cpu cuz temps are fine and i have a thermoengine with delta. Also if it was burnt i figured i could not get it to post. It is running at 1200 mhz at default voltages as i speak but i left it one while i go to work but i'm afraid to turn it off. I did not touch the HS so i dont think it could be a cracked core either. IMHO i believe it is either the mem or the motherboard and i'm leaning toward the motherboard.

Also i have not installed the latest bios, still running the phoenixnet one i just noticedd the new one when i went to the epox website

but can anyone explain what could have happened and if a bios flash will fix the problem?

Don't tell me this!! Everyone just convinced me to go with the 8K7a instead of the A7m266.

Would this have anything to do with you memory being out of wakk?
