Epox 8K7A and Hollywood+ Problem

I have the Epox 8K7A mobo with the Hollywood+ dvd card. The installation went well and it plays MPEG files on monitor or TV-out without a glitch. However it just doesn't play DVD movies on my Toshiba 1502. I also have busmaster installed for the IDE channels.

I tried putting the H+ card on my P3V4X rig and everything works flawlessly. They both have a VisionTek GF2 GTS in it so I don't think it is a video card problem.

Is it a known issue with the VIA 686b chipset? Anyone out there with the same setup got any luck? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.
