I am building a rig for my brother; for free. :) He currently has an old laptop, so this will be quite the upgrade.

Going to use my old Epox 8K5A2+ motherboard. I DL'd the latest Via drivers (4.51) off Epox's site. But I can't remember if these drivers are really "all in one" like the NForce drivers are. Are the NIC and sound chip drivers in there?

Thanks!!! BBL today. AT is blocked at work. :(

You can get the LAN drivers from here .

Btw that board has the VIA VT8235 southbridge so you know where to look.

Thanks Mem. :)

I am not going to give him this board afterall. Honestly, it's too nice for what he'll be using it for.

Email/surfing/looking at pics. Maybe Starcraft....would be a waste of a good PC2700 capable board as well as my PC2700 memory.

I found my OLD Abit KT7-Raid. Doesn't overclock for squat, but it's exactly what he needs.

XP should run fine on:

1GHz TBird
512mb PC133
GF2 GTS videocard
