I just flashed my BIOS and when the system posts, its says "NTLRD Missing" or something along that line. It won't allow me to boot up windows, it just stops at that screen. Do you know what could be the problem? I'm using someone else's computer right now to ask. Please help asap

That is a windows issue, not a BIOS issue.

As a guess, are you using WinXP?

The message was probably "NTLDR Missing" which is telling you that it can't load the NT Kernel. Are you using a + model of the 8K3A mobo? If so, is your system partiton on the RAID controller and is it a RAID array? If it was, maybe your array was destroyed by the BIOS update. The BIOS update also updates the Highpoint BIOS which could have toasted the data on your drive. Even if your system partition is not a RAID this could have happened I suppose.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I didn't have this problem when I flashed my BIOS. I guess I got really lucky.

I am the owner of the board and its not the + model. We got it working now by flashing the bios with an older version I had originally but we were wondering if using the XP cd wouldve fixed the "NTLDR" problem in the newer bios?
