I have:

Morgan Duron 1Ghz
Epox 8K3A (with Via 4 in 1 driver that came with it)
Gainward GF3 Ti200
DX8.1 & Det. 22.80

Problem:

Can't run 3DMark 2000/2001. It starts the test but the screen shows black.. and sometimes show some weird looking shapes and colors but mostly just BLACK!

No Problem:

Plays TombRaider series, SCGT, Q3A absolutely no problem. Runs superb. Zero crash, zero restarts, no nothing.

Same AGP/ PCI components used on the Abit BE6-2 had absolutely no problem running 3DMark 2000/2001.

So, what the hell is the problem.. My BIOS version: 2328. Is this mobo POS or just buggy? or buggy on the Via northbridge chipset?? Somebody know the solution??? Helpppp..............

rather odd....i don't have any problem running it with the following setup:

XP 1600+ @ 1804MHz - 171FSB
EPoX 8K3A - 2415 beta BIOS
Leadtek Geforce2 Pro 64MB
DX8.1 - Det. 28.32's

perhaps try another det driver version?

A few things to try. First, get the latest 4 in 1 drivers from the VIA website. Try switching off AGP 4X in the BIOS to see if that helps. You can also change the AGP driving control (in BIOS) from auto to 'CC'. Tyan recommends switching that driving value to 'CC' on some of their VIA boards. I did this on a Abit VT6X4 board that kept locking up in 3dMark with a GeForce 2 GTS (the same board worked fine with a GF2 MX) & the lock-ups stopped. Also, try a different set of nVidia drivers (get the latest reference drivers from the nVidia website).

Are all those games that run OK Open GL games (I know Quake3 is)? If so, you may have a little bug with D3D settings. I believe 3Dmark tests in Direct 3D. You can also try playing with your advanced display properities, direct 3D tab.
