I just read the AT review on this mobo..lloks great....only "bad" thing was no 3:4 memory ratio

It has RAID, serial ATA, Usb 2.0(of course), on board LAN and sound...and a expected price of $140

Anyone know when this will be out???

what about dual channel ddr when will we realistically see this mobo ???

Yeah, don't know why Epox left out the 3:4 divider. Oh well, maybe a BIOS update will change that.

Anyway, dual DDR P4 boards will start showing up in the middle of November sometime. By that date, you'll see lots of reviews on Granite Bay, including our very own reviews...

Thanks...I guess I can wait for the dual channel mobos ..they are close..I really want to get a P4 1.8a and mobo..prefer to wait for the dual channel boards...but the epox sure looks nice...

wonder if Epox has one in the works as feature rich as the 4PEA+

I just got my EPoX 4PEA+ up and running and there is indeed a 3:4 memory ratio in this BIOS.

What CPU do you have ? NW-A 400MHz FSB or NW-B 533MHz FSB ? From most PE boards I've seen, the A will get 3:4 and the B will get 4:5. Is there a FSB jumper on that board ?

Yes, that's right, there is no 3:4 at 133MHz FSB, only 100MHz FSB. Who wouldn't use a 2.26-B (B0 or C1) anyway. Screw 1.6/1.8A CPU's. ;)

I have a 1.8 Northwood currently sitting at just below 2.8 GHz.

It certainly comes off like that's what Epox was thinking doesn't it!?!

This 1.8 is only temporary... :p
I'll get a bigger CPU as soon as I can afford Intel's outrageous prices....

It's very easy to get 3:4 with NW-533 though :)
All you need to do is a pin mod that turns your CPU into a NW-400. Use silver lacquer or just a piece of copper wire to connect the pins BSEL[0] and [1] together. Details can be found in Intel's P4 datasheet.

it's not the prices, it's the difference in price..
a 2.4B is like $330.. that's too much money.

Bad news.. the 4PEA looks to be cooked.
i powered my machine down, went to hookup the game-port that comes seperately, hit power.. nothing... dead.
after an hour of trouble shooting put my old parts back in and it fired right up.
well that sucks.. proves the board is gone. how nice... :disgust:
