I'll try to make this short ... the LED indicator shows errno 0x26 ( overclock failure ). Instructions for this error code are to clear CMOS, which I did but didn't help. I started to take out components ( piece by piece ). The system booted once I took out my video card ( GeForce 4 ). I put back my old GeForce 2 board and system came up properly. It also comes up fine on the onboard in video. Is this error code erronous and the video card went to a lala land or am I missing something. BTW, the AGP bus was fixed 66Mhz/standard voltage throughout this computer's liftime. Any ideas?

you're lucky your's still booting up.. My 4g4a+ just died on me after I came back from vacation. it rebooted by itself a few times and then the alarm/siren came on. tried to reboot same thing. took everything out and rebooted and extracted the cpu and put back.... still nothing... the LED code thing doesn't even light up.. =\ dunno what to do now.. But I went ahead and ordered a n ASus p4pe

The same thing occured today ... after I cleared the CMOS the sirens went off the next time I tried to boot. After shutting down, the machine wouldn't turn on ( no LEDs, no sound, nothing ). I pulled the ATX power plug and let it sit for a while. It came back to life after that. Speaking of 4G4A+ failures, the onboard NIC died on me about two weeks after I bought the board. On top of it the machine will not boot if the memory is in bank 1 😕 That's why, even though all signs point to video card failure, somehow I still have this feeling that the motherboard is somehow responsible.
