It's a new build up and running for a week just fine but now the keyboard is not working right. I'll type something and get different letters or numbers. I've tried another keyboard on it both do the same thing. Both keyboards work on another pc so I guess it can't be the keyboards.
RMA time?

Usb or PS/2 ?

Are you able to get into the bios ok and maybe take a look at any of the kboard settings , I doubt these would cause the effect your getting but worth a shot .

Does the problem happen all the time or is it totally random ?

Sounds like you have your keyboard set to another layout. I have dvroka set up on mine and I sometimes hit Ctrl + Shift and this changes my layout to it. Check and make sure you have the correct one selected. Or try Ctrl +Shift and see what happens. (Might have to do it multiple times for every layout you have installed)

Both keyboards are PS/2 and when I put it to the failsafe defaults in the bios it still does it. I can hit a key and the character will be different everytime. It's doing it all the time, both keyboards are Microsoft Natural Elites one works but the keys change letters every press and the other doesn't work on it at all. Both keyboards work fine on my other pc it does it in DOS and windows. Bad PS/2 port?

Sounds like you migth have a virus. From what I don't know. If you can download AVG or go to nortons site and use there online virus scan and see if it gets anything.

Try and get a hold of a USB keybaord so you can rule out your PS/2 port. I have never seen one do that so I don't think its the PS/2 port. Also I thought the Microsoft Natural Elites is a USB keybaord with an adapter to use the PS/2 port...
