Hi,
I know almost all of you have setup your Epox 4g4a+ with the combo of Samsung memory. As Samsung is not available in my country, i took Kingmax memory as the replacement.
These are my system specs:
Intel 1.6A Northwood
EPoX 4g4a+ mobo
2x256 Kingmax TinyBGA DDR333 (PC2700) memory
Inno3D GeForce3 Ti200 64MB
Thermaltake Volcano 7+
Seagate Barracuda 80GB 7200RPM
I was able to run my system stable @ 2.24 Ghz using 140FSB x 16 multiplier. I only used 1:1 ratio and ran my DDR at DDR280. Vcore: 2.7v AGP: 1.5v Vdimm: 1.7v All other settings are 2.5-6-3-3 I ran Prime95 for at least 15 hours so far, it is still running without errors. 55C full load 48C normal.
I tried several combo settings but my windows XP or win98se becomes unstable. I tried running my system at 133 FSB which is at DDR333 2.19Ghz. But its a bit unstable. WindowsXP shows up errors. If i try to push it any further than 2.24 Ghz like for example 144 FSB my WinXP will boot but will reboot on its own after executing some apps. At 150 FSB, my WinXP won't boot at all that i have to clear the CMOS again so i can set it back to lower. I would like to ask anyone who is kind enough to help that if its safe to run my AGP/PCI at different speed other than the normal 66/33? Also, if anyone can help me just for me to reach 2.4Ghz that would be great!
