The Intel 845G chipset only supports four banks of memory. Only a motherboard with two memory slots could use two double-sided sticks of memory since there would be two banks per slot. The Epox only supports a double-sided DIMM in the first slot. The other two slots have 1 bank each, to total 4. I think Epox did this betting that people would want to use more single-sided DIMMs rather than 2 double-sided DIMMs.
NFS4 I currently have 2 sticks of 512 PC2700/DDR333 Samsung ram running in slots 1 and 2 with no problem. 1.6a @ 2.4 DDR @ 375
