aside from the actual chipset differences...

i845E--> onboard graphics: no; official memory support: DDR266; etc.
i845G--> onboard graphics: yes; official memory support: DDR333; etc.

it is ultimately up to the board maker as to which integrated chipset features are actually implemented on their boards. then priority is handed to onboard controllers if a board maker wants to include a feature that is not natively supported by the chipset itself. after the manufacturer has all the features they want on the board (either through the chipset or onboard controllers), it is up the the end user to get a PCI controller card if he or she wants to implement a feature not already on the board. so knowing this:

1) is there any difference in the features Epox decided to implement on the 4BEAR and the 4G4A+?
2) is there any difference in onboard controllers between the two?
3) do the two boards support different CPU : DRAM ratios in their BIOS's?
4) can any owners say that one board is more stable, reliable, and overclockable than the other by way of experience?
5) can any owners say that they have experienced more problems with one board more than the other? or can anyone speak of any problems they may be having with one board that they haven't of occuring with the other board?

i've been looking for a good SiS 648 board to come out, but my patience is wearing thin. so i'm researching the i845E and i845G chipsets, as they might be a possible mobo solution for my needs. obviously, neither the 4BEAR nor the 4G4A+ have the ATX12v connector that intel recommends for the P4. both boards also lack FireWire support. anyways, i guess i'm just looking for the right combination of quality, stability, overclockability, and features in a mobo. i know i'll never find a solution with everything i want, so i'm trying to find the best compromise at this point in time. anyways, if anyone has answers to any of the above questions, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks, eric.
